Parade Application (Political)

Dear Elected Officials, Candidates, and Political Organizations:

The Dundalk Independence Day Parade Committee would like to invite you to the 92nd annual Dundalk Independence Day Parade. The Parade is on Saturday, July 4, 2026 and will begin at 8:15 a.m.

The Dundalk Independence Day Committee now requires at least a $250 donation from all elected officials, candidates, and political organizations. We will not consider your entry until the application and the entry fee are both turned into the Parade Committee.

Deadline for application: June 22, 2026

Rules for elected officials, candidates, and political organizations:

Each elected official, candidate, and political organization must complete their own application and pay their own entry fee. Entries cannot be merged.
The Dundalk Parade Committee will only allow two vehicles per entry. A truck and trailer will be considered one vehicle (this does not include security details for elected
officials).
The Parade begins at 8:15 a.m. You must be in your position by 7:15 a.m.
The Parade Committee will determine lineup order based on the following precedence and anyone not adhering to their official lineup order will be expelled from the event.
- Current elected officials will be in the beginning section of the lineup according to the hierarchy of federal, state, and then local office holder position.
- Current elected officials can display their name, but no campaign signs for offices they do not hold.
- If a current elected official is applying (representing) for the Parade as a different position than they currently hold, they will be treated as a candidate and not an elected official and placed in the lineup accordingly.
- Candidates and elected officials will be lined up based on the order of their application turned into the Parade Committee, as well as taking into consideration candidates who may have to go to another Parade based on the office they are campaigning for.
The lineup location will be emailed to the email address that is provided on the political application (this is done for security reasons and in the event of a change in the lineup location).
